Our era is often said to be a time of rapid technological change, but the social changes occurring in this country and elsewhere are equally dramatic. Society often has sufficient experience and knowledge to make better-informed decisions, but it is not always prepared to use this wisdom from the social and behavioral sciences. When it does not do so, we lose an important opportunity to mitigate adverse social trends. I am proud to be a part of this society and I believe that through conscious music, we can emphasize the key concerns we face and work towards improving our current social state.
