Music from the grassland regions of Cameroon (Bamenda) is uniquely rhythmic, mostly 4/4 and 6/8 time signature. Among these genres are: Njang, Mbaghalum, Mbaya, Asamba and Makossa and Bikutsi. At Akumba Music, Our team of Artist and musicians all work towards the goal of merging these styles with Jazz, Latin Jazz, pop and other world music genres, yielding a uniquely beautiful mix of Afro Influenced Jazz fusion and World Music. We make music for Music Festivals, International Jazz Festivals and World Music Events underlining the beauty of African Jazz.
