Once upon a time, Dr. Venus was a walking statistic. She was living on the streets of Baltimore by the age of 16 amid violence, drugs, and prostitution. The predictable outcome was welfare, addiction, and ultimately death. Amazingly, she graduated with a second master's degree and a Ph.D. from Stanford University and then fast-track it to 2.3 million in four years using the system that got her off the streets.
