The Maiden

Legendary yacht Maiden, skippered by Tracy Edwards in the 89/90 Whitbread with the first all-female crew to sail in a round the world yacht race, has undergone a major refit after being abandoned and is sailing once more. She is still sailing with an all female crew, skippered by female sailing legends, on a two year world tour. Maiden will visit 29 stopovers in countries across the globe, raising funds and awareness for girls' education. Over 130 million girls all over the world do not have an education - this is 130 million opportunities lost. The Maiden Factor believes this has to change, and we're working with inspiring charities who work to remove barriers for girls' to access education. Educate a girl, change the world.
