Batalo East

Started in Uganda by a group of people passionate about urban dance and the importance of traditional art forms to empower young people, Batalo East, where traditional meets urban, is helping to build tomorrow's global leaders from the roots. Batalo East is developing young people and artists who, through the medium of traditional and urban dance, are conscious of the value of traditional and global, modern culture, and represent this consciousness as well-rounded, innovative, creative and active leaders in all sectors -- from professional dance and the arts to sciences, to business and public service, both locally and internationally.
