An enabling environment for the flourishing of artistic and cultural expression, development and exchange. Established in 1996 the Centre for Creative Arts is a multi-disciplinary arts organisation based within the School of Arts at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Objectives - Provision of creative platforms and economic opportunities for established and emerging artists, innovative voices, marginalized communities, and cultural industries. - Facilitation of exchange opportunities and network development between African and international cultural practitioners. - Provision of seminars, training workshops, and career-development initiatives. - Serving industry imperatives, aspirant artists, community organisations, educational institutions and disadvantaged communities. - Strategic development of audiences. - Generation of positive media attention for the arts.
