The Web Foundation fights for digital equality — a world where everyone can access the web and use it to improve their lives. We were founded by the inventor of the web, Sir Tim Berners-Lee, who gave the web to the world for free. We exist to advance Sir Tim’s vision of a web for everyone, by working to influence government and corporate policies to create the web we want. We are independent; we are international; and we stand up for the interests of ordinary people — not governments or corporations.
