François Morin
François Morin - drummer - composer - producer
Born in France in 1984, François Morin began studying classical piano and drums at the age of five. In 2002, he won the International Drums Competition in Paris that opened him doors to play in the most prestigious Parisian jazz clubs.
He participated in important international jazz festivals like Jazz à Juan les Pins, Jazz in Marciac, Jazz à Sète, Strasbourg Jazz Festival, Nattjazz Festival and toured to the Alliance Française in Africa (Senegal, Mauritania, Gambia, Cape Verde, Togo , Benin).
He recorded discs of various styles, the last ones being "Naissance", disc of his own compositions, "Araporã" with the pianist André Mehmari, "Mike Reinhardt Trio" with Mike Reinhardt on electric guitar and Thierry Eliez on Hammond organ, and "After-Glow" with the group Jazz Cosi, mixed by Al Schmitt in Los Angeles.
