Milege Uganda

We derive our name, "Milégé" from the Luo word for a rattle-like bell worn around the ankle during traditional dances that herald the arrival of the chief. The name Milégé was also chosen to emphasize to the band's fusion of classical jazz music and traditional African folklore.The originality of sound and composition of this youthful and vivacious band is limitless; hence Milégé Afro Jazz Band brings a new meaning to jazz by incorporating African culture and tunes.
