I mostly feature songs that were on the South African charts in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, with a distinct preference towards local artists, as few of their songs are commercially available today. I also feature songs that received frequent airplay during these periods, as they are even more difficult to locate than those that reached the charts. I have an extensive collection of LPs and 7" singles by local artists, and will eventually upload all of them (full albums), as opposed to only the better known songs, as I believe that there are many (mostly unknown) gems to be found on obscure LPs. Although I personally might not like all of the songs that I upload, I'm sure that certain songs hold specific meaning or memories to certain people, therefore my opinion of a song is irrelevant. Most of the songs that I upload are taken off vinyl, and all are cleaned of scratches, pops and clicks, as the quality of the recording is, in my opinion, as important as the song itself. Enjoy!
